Much summer work is being done at the school. The last few days high school students have been driving by the front of the high school to see the new brass tiger statue. It is a beautiful statue set in a natural landscaping. By day it is beautiful; by night it is spectacular as the lights throw the shadow of the tiger onto the front of the building.

This project is the long-term dream of the the Tupelo High School Student Council. Several years ago, StuCo members presented the idea of a brass tiger sitting on the school grounds. As the years passed, the students worked to raise the money for this project. Finally, at the end of the 2021 school year, their dream is reality, and is now a beautiful part of our campus.
